Hi! Nice to meet you I’m Meg Hann.
I’m a jewelry and home‑goods maker who transforms vintage silverware into modern, meaningful and sometimes whimsical pieces. I work primarily with silver‑plated flatware and serving trays I scout for at thrift shops. I love giving new life to materials that have outlived their original purpose — turning something overlooked into something loved again. I reshape my findings into rings, necklaces, earrings, bookmarks, magnets, wind chimes, and even whimsical desk companions like fork‑snails.
My process is hands‑on and rooted in curiosity. Every piece begins in my garage workshop, where I spend hours tinkering. I have two Dremel’s (one is permanently set as a drill press), an Arbor Press, a Hydraulic Press, a 12-inch metal sheer, two sanders, various hammers, metal snips and pliers. I am slightly obsessed with Harbor Freight.
For me, this work is part craft, part storytelling. I love the challenge of transforming a mass‑produced object into a one‑of‑a‑kind piece with personality and purpose. It’s my way of honoring the past while creating something beautiful for the present and I am so thankful when my work speaks to others.
